Last updated: 12/26/2024

Understanding Your Business Analytics

The VegasVox analytics dashboard gives you insight into how visitors are finding and interacting with your business listing. Use these metrics to understand your performance and make informed decisions about your presence on the platform.

Accessing Your Analytics

  1. Log in to your VegasVox business account
  2. Go to your Business Dashboard
  3. Click Analytics in the left navigation

Key Metrics Explained

Profile Views

The total number of times your listing page was viewed in the selected time period. A profile view is counted each time a unique visitor loads your listing page.

Search Impressions

How many times your business appeared in search or category results. Impressions differ from views — an impression is counted when your listing card is displayed, even if the visitor doesn't click through.

Click-Through Rate (CTR)

The percentage of impressions that resulted in a profile view. A higher CTR indicates that your listing title, photo, and category are relevant to what visitors are searching for.

CTR = (Profile Views ÷ Impressions) × 100

Actions

Actions track specific interactions visitors took on your listing:

  • Website clicks — visitors who clicked your website link
  • Direction requests — visitors who requested directions to your location
  • Phone calls — visitors who tapped your phone number (mobile)
  • Menu views — visitors who opened your menu (restaurants)

Review Activity

  • Total reviews received in the period
  • Average star rating trend over time
  • Response rate (for business replies to reviews)

Time Period Selection

Use the date range selector at the top of the analytics page to view data for:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days
  • Custom date range

Comparing periods helps you identify trends and measure the impact of changes you've made to your listing.

Understanding the Performance Graph

The performance graph shows your profile views and impressions over time. Look for:

  • Spikes: Correlated with events, promotions, or seasonal demand
  • Trends: Gradual increases indicate improving visibility; declining trends may signal a need to refresh your listing
  • Gaps: Unexpected drops may indicate a technical issue — contact support if you see a sudden unexplained drop

Improving Your Performance

If your analytics show low impressions or views, consider:

  1. Update your photos — Listings with current, high-quality photos perform better
  2. Complete your profile — Ensure all fields (hours, description, amenities) are filled in
  3. Respond to reviews — Active engagement improves your listing's ranking signals
  4. Keep information current — Update hours, menus, and contact info regularly
  5. Consider featured placement — Paid featured listings significantly increase impressions

Exporting Analytics Data

Click Export in the top-right corner of the analytics page to download a CSV report of your metrics for any selected time period.
